Love doesn’t see boarders or limitations.
Love doesn’t follow rules.
Love is not linear.
Love can be small and expansive, sometimes both at the same time.
Love is breathtakingly beautiful to one person and ugly to the next.
Love’s is bright, vibrant, translucent and it is deep, dark opaque.
Love can be a mess, tangled and twisted or obvious and straightforward.
There are loves that overlap.
There are loves that come in quick succession.
There are loves that lingers and those that burn out fast.
Love can’t be shaped or manipulated into being something comfortable or convenient.
Love shows up when it’s least expected.
Love is in places it’s always been.
Love is holding out, hiding in the shadows quietly waiting for it’s turn.
Love is also standing center stage and scream it is here for you.
Love looks different each time it’s experienced but is always recognize upon it’s return.
And one thing is for sure every time love is experience love will leave it’s mark on your life and your heart.
In the throws of love, in the height of it’s elation, in the depths of the sorrow and pain in it’s loss, love holds onto hope. Hope that it can find it’s way home and again, and again.
Love is for me is the most joyous, beautiful and complex mystery in life. Perhaps this is why my art very often has a heart in it somewhere. Having always been drawn towards the shape over all others. Perhaps this is because I love deeply or maybe because love is a universal experience.
In my 34 years on earth I have had the luck of falling in love many times. Love comes in many shapes and many forms and in my case with many people. I have experienced it enough to know there is very possibly nothing more terrifying, nor more exciting, nor more breathtakingly beautiful than that which we call love. So here it is, my love letter to love.
